The Misfit

The Misfit tells the story of Naz, an Indo-Canadian woman who runs away with her aspiring pop star lover Lucky Punjabi, only to suffer grave consequences. Disowned by her Canadian family and heartbroken after Lucky is killed by enraged villagers disgusted by the idea of a young woman running away with a man who is not her husband, Naz finds asylum with a dance company as a wedding entertainer who performs classical Indian dance routines to the music of Beyonce, Britney Spears, and the Black Eyed Peas.
