Scotland the Brave

About the Show

Prepare yourself for the tunes of pipes and the twirl of plaid as Scotland the Brave makes its North American premiere. This smash hit celebration of the best of traditional Scottish music, song, and dance features over 100 performers, including a full orchestra, choir, pipe-band and drum corps, highland dancers, fiddlers, and soloists under the musical direction of leading composer Sean O’Boyle.

Featured music includes O’Boyle’s superb new arrangements of Scottish favourites, including “The Gael,” “Annie Laurie,” “The Skye Boat Song,” “Highland Cathedral,” “Wi’ One Hundred Pipers,” “The Blue Bells of Scotland” and “Scotland The Brave.” Soloists include popular tenor Greg Moore; brilliant soprano Mirusia Louwerse, winner of the Dame Joan Sutherland Opera Award; and 24-year-old bass-baritone sensation, Sam Dundas. The Scottish Dance Company of Canada, under the direction of acclaimed choreographer Sandra Bald Jones, and Celtic fiddler Marcus Holden also feature in the dazzling line-up.
