Inspired by the words and life of literary phenomenon Gwendolyn MacEwen, writer/performer Linda Griffiths draws together an intricate blend of poetry, humor and sleight of hand to conjure up this tenacious and elusive icon. Lamenting the loss of “magical women,” MacEwen rises with hands of flames to face a life too brief, and a city she no longer recognizes.
