Lamplighters Music Theatre presents Victoria’s Secret, or An Inconvenient Ruth, the company’s annual fundraising gala event. Featuring a live orchestra and cast of 40 performing all-new lyrics written to the music of Gilbert & Sullivan’s greatest hits, Victoria’s Secret plays one night only in San Francisco.
All tickets include a champagne reception following the show.
The musical sparks fly in this wacky, original musical spoof set at a theater festival in Victorian England. Sherlock Holmes and Junior Agent 07–Bond, Jessie Bond– find what appears to be the mortal remains of a dearly departed Queen Victoria, but which of the four Victoria look-alikes is it? The American pop star? The British actress? The real queen? Or the drag queen? And what is Victoria’s Secret? A cake-eating, trilling Marie Antoinette and a school of dancing whales from “Moby Dick-the Musical” add to the chaos.
