Thieves in the Temple: The Reclaiming of HIp Hop

The world premiere of Def Poet Aya de León’s anticipated one woman show Thieves in the Temple: The Reclaiming of HIp Hop opens at the Yerba Buena Center. This critique of sexism in hip hop has the poet transform herself into a variety of characters: a sex object on the verge of nervous breakdown, and a foul-mouthed West Coast emcee with reverse Tourettes (his condition makes him sensitive).
