Thief River

Thief River is a moving story, told over three generations, about the lifelong, largely unrequited love affair of two men from a Minnesota farming community. Ray is the one who stays behind, forsaking his identity as a gay man for marriage, fatherhood, and tradition. Gil moves to the big city where he has a succession of lovers, none of whom can erase his primary attachment to his first love.
