The Petrified Forest

About the Show

A remote diner located in the Arizona desert is the setting for Robert E. Sherwood’s The Petrified Forest, a poignant social tale of longing, disillusionment, class struggle and gunplay.

Lofty idealism and corporate indifference are explored when a down-on-his luck writer, an idealistic waitress, a couple of wealthy tourists and other diners bare their souls and question the value of their lives after a notorious gangster arrives at the diner and takes everyone hostage.
