Charles Ludlam’s comic melodrama opens at an old Victorian mansion where Lord Edgar Hillcrest has married Lady Enid shortly after the death of Lady Irma Vep. Campy jokes, silly props, sight gags, and quick changes abound as the mystery of Irma’s death unfolds.
