On The Town

Bright and brassy, On The Town follows three Navy buddies, on the eve of being shipped off to fight in World War II, through a whirlwind tour of New York City’s famous sights and pretty girls. Chip and Ozzie pitch in to help their love-struck pal Gabby find New York’s “Miss Turnstiles” of the month, an adventure which takes them to Carnegie Hall, Times Square, The Museum of Natural History, and Coney Island. Along the way, Chip and Ozzie meet up with Hildy, a brash cab driver, and Claire, an anthropologist with decidedly primal urges. As evening falls, the group’s escapades unfold into a breakneck chase through the city’s nightlife, one step ahead of an angry paleontologist, Claire’s fiance, and several of New York’s Finest.
