The AfroSolo Theater Compay celebrates its thirteenth annual AfroSolo Arts Festival, a ceremony of African American artists giving voice to the Black experience. Because of the disparity in health matters in the community, AfroSolo made the bold decision to make Black Health the theme for this year’s festival. Solo artists unite with health and medical professionals to promote health, prevent disease and provide incentives to develop healthy habits in the African American community. AfroSolo Arts Festival XIII: United in Health – Artists, Health Workers and Community will focus on health in general, but pay particular attention to breast cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and prostate cancer.
