Set in a prison of an unnamed country, When the World Was Green (A Chef’s Fable) follows an old man, a chef by trade, who murders a man he mistook as his cousin to fulfill the role of avenger and resolve a generations-old family feud. When a young reporter comes to interview him, truth and memory are under scrutiny as they learn more about each others lives than they ever wanted to know. The play is by Sam Shepard and Joseph Chaikin, and directed by Kirsten Brandt.
Discounts are available for students, seniors and active millitary with ID. Anyone under 25-years-old (with a valid ID) can get a $10.00 ticket on Thursdays and Sundays. Pay-What-You-Can Previews are on February 10 & 11 and Monday, February 28 at 8pm.
