About This Show

The Santa Monica Playhouse presents a benefit performance of Walking Back to Brooklyn, a seventy-minute autobiographical solo performance written and performed by Murray Meyer. It tells the story of twelve-year-old Murray Meyer, who ran away from home and decided to walk to Brooklyn from Montreal, Canada in 1957. During this journey, Little Murray must confront a series of weighty issues including sex, racism, class struggle and the most challenging issue of all, his impending bar mitzvah.

All proceeds go to benefit the Save the Santa Monica Playhouse Campaign.
