One playwright.
One daring challenge.
One night only.
Bethesda Repertory Theatre presents Under Candlelight, an intimate ongoing performance series where brand-new theatre is written in weeks, learned in days, and performed only once.
Each month, a chosen playwright will receive a unique prompt and race to create a new work. The actors receive the script only days before the performance, creating a high-stakes, high-wire night of fresh storytelling where anything can happen.
Stripping theatre down to its essentials—actor, text, and audience—Under Candlelight offers an intimate, close-up theatrical experience unlike anything else.
