The Quirky Best Friend (QBF) is a one-woman show revealing the most underrated of female character roles. In contrast to the classic leading roles, the perfect All-American Girl, the sexy Slut, the edgy Skater Chick, and the Serious/Dramatic actress, the QBF has long been trapped as the overshadowed, supportive, loving sidekick.
Chelsey Dailey humorously portrays each of these characters, only to discover at the end that the QBF is indeed the most interesting, fun, complex, inspiring and imaginative. More than anyone, she truly deserves a moment to shine, in honor of all those tears she’s helped laugh away.
Chelsey will reveal each personality on stage and through a series of video and photo montages with the energy guided by a character-specific soundtrack. She will present a satirical glimpse into how these classic roles play out and live their lives. Each personality will be sharply drawn, desperate and distinct, yet comically linked as Chelsey slips from character to character in a guiltlessly funny display of character manipulation.
