New York City
Backstabbing, poverty, determination, desperation, romance and fame — except for the fame part, it sounds like a typical Los Angeles theatre company. The LA Weekly Loves Us! follows a group of actors who will do just about anything to get noticed. And we mean anything. Unfortunately, they can’t even get reviewed. And it really shouldn’t be this hard. The actors are a good-looking bunch with an extraordinary range, from the classics to the avant-garde, straight plays, musicals, and some non-traditional casting. This situation doesn’t sound that unusual, you say? Well, it becomes so when one of the prime movers of the company winds up dead, his corpse oozing blood from a dozen puncture wounds.
