About the Show

Written by Ruth and Augustus Goetz, The Heiress is based on the Henry James novel Washington Square. In 1850 New York, Catherine Sloper – a shy and wealthy young woman – falls desperately in love with a man who may or may not be a fortune hunter. Catherine struggles to break free of her father’s stern clutch, and marry the man she loves. Circus Theatricals Associate Artist Robert Cicchini directs.
