About This Show

The Knightsbridge Theatre has extended The Grapes of Wrath, a timely re-telling of the classic John Steinbeck novel, directed by Carolee Shoemaker, through Thanksgiving weekend. In today’s world of closing banks, unemployment, and foreclosures, this production will strike a chord among audiences who are all too familiar with sacrifice and struggle. The play, adapted by Frank Galati from Steinbeck’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, chronicles the pilgrimage of the Joad family from the Oklahoma Dust Bowl to California during the Depression. Folk music, square-dancing, and a remarkable turntable stage bring this moving drama to life.

This family story contains mature content; children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
