About This Show

In The Big Slam, by Bill Corbett, we see life through the eyes of a shy young student of history, Orrin, who gets caught up in the 90’s incarnation of the self help movement via his friend Russell, a handsome seducer in whose shadow Orrin has always lived. Russell is on a quest for SUCCESS in every area of life: financial, sexual, emotional, and spiritual. When he meets Stephanie, a sexy ruthless young lawyer, and discovers a new program guaranteeing financial success, things get hot and steamy! It’s a strange stew of ambition, slippery language, love, and SEX, and as Orrin tries to make sense of his newfound world in terms of the things he knows best, history, he learns that taking the High Road can have unusual consequences.

“Bill Corbett’s satirical comedy The Big Slam…is swift, smart, and ultimatley irresistable…A non-stop roller coaster of rapier wit and sexual…Corbett serves up a hilarious two act tour de force….” — The Washington Post
