Based on the true story of Jewish activist Hillel Kook (aka Peter Bergson), The Accomplices explores what the U.S. government and American Jews did and didn’t do to help Jews fleeing the Nazis during WWII. playwright Bernard Weinraub’s exploration centers on the involvement of historical figures such as FDR, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Breckinridge Long, and American Jewish leader Rabbi Stephen Wise.
