Inspired by a 1622 Thomas Middleton play fraught with surprising violence, Tallgrass Gothic, by Melanie Marnich, makes its West Coast Premiere at Sacred Fools Theater. Set in the rural Midwest, a young woman’s heated love affair spawns a chain of unimaginable and gruesome events that spell doom and destruction for the small town’s residents as only a true gothic tale can tell.
