Proof, by David Auburn, which opened on Broadway in 2000 and went on to win the year’s top prizes — the Tony Award for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama — debuts for the first time in the Palm Springs area at the award-winning Groves Cabin Theatre. The play is directed by Jim R. Warner, who won the Desert Theatre League’s award for Outstanding Director of a Drama for last year’s production of Visiting Mr. Green at Groves.
