REPRISE! Broadway’s Best begins its 2005-2006 season with the musical masterpiece, On the Town, with music by Leonard Bernstein, book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, choreography by Lee Martino, musical direction by Gerald Sternbach and direction by Dan Mojica.
Three sailors have a 24 hour shore leave in New York City. When they run into and then lose the subway’s woman of the month, Miss Turnstiles, they search the city for her and find many other adventures (and women!) along the way. The score includes such extraordinary songs as the classic and memorable anthem “New York, New York,” “Lonely Town,” “I Can Cook, Too,” “I Get Carried Away,” and “Lucky to Be Me.”
