Deaf West’s first-ever musical, directed by Broadway’s Jeff Calhoun, integrates a cast of 21 deaf actors and hearing singers and actors, live orchestra and custom designed sound system, enabling deaf audience members to feel the music. Adapted from Charles Dickens’ classic novel, this is the timeless tale that follows the waifish orphan boy, Oliver, who is befriended by the pick-pocketing Artful Dodger, recruited into a gang of boy thieves led by Fagin and persecuted by the villainous Bill Sikes. In his most desperate circumstances Oliver is still able to find love and care from Nancy.
