The Theatricians stay true to their artistic goals of exploring difficult topics in fun and imaginative ways with Mr. Marmalade, which examines childhood abuse in many different forms. Mr. Marmalade is a savage black comedy about, a four-­‐year-­‐old girl who merges imagination and reality to create her negligent, wayward, and overly indulgent imaginary friend – Mr. Marmalade. Lucy’s reality is altered when she makes her first real human friend, Larry, the youngest suicide attempt in the history of New Jersey. This show contains adult themes and language and is intended for mature audiences.
