Jillian Lauren Debuts her Performance Piece
Mother Tongue. Lauren, author of the fascinating best-selling book Some Girls: My Life In A Harem is a keen-eyed sharp-tongued writer/performer. Here she brings her kaleidoscopic new multi-character show about blood, tribe and identity to the LA Stage. Both an adoptee and adoptive mother, Lauren explores the quest for a sense of belonging amidst various and often fractured cultural influences. Mother Tongue is directed by acclaimed visionary theatre artist Robert Cucuzza.
