Lucid Sound

Sight Unseen Theatre Group presents the final production of its third season, the world premiere of Lucid Sound, written by Andy Mitton and directed by Sam Roberts.

Sue-Ann’s normal American life takes a serious left turn through the looking glass. Reality begins falling away in a series of surreal events: Lucid Sound, the place where she and her mild-mannered husband Solomon fell in love, has gone missing from the map and modern words and their meanings are shifting and disappearing. But it’s a chance encounter with Simeon, a mysterious young man who claims to be from an impoverished country called Norestaplevia, that inspires Sue-Ann to flee America and sail across the Atlantic to discover Norestaplevia for herself. But as she journeys to find what’s real and what’s not — she is followed by her husband Solomon, who has been transformed into a demon by the Church of Satan, and is blazing a bloody trail behind them with murder on his mind. And if Sue-Ann and Simeon are ever to reach the fabled land of Norestaplevia, they must learn to see the world through the eyes of other cultures, not just their own, in this farcical and timely theatrical event.
