About This Show

Lessons is a world premiere play written by Wendy Graf and directed by Academy Award-winning director Adam Davidson. The show is about Ben, a man in his 60’s, who finally decides to have a Bar Mitzvah, and Ruth, the woman he’s hired to tutor him, a former Rabbi who’s lost her faith. Through their developing friendship each searches for healing and forgiveness as they wrestle with their own deep rooted secrets. It’s a touching, funny and poignant drama about finding faith and love in a sometimes violent and alienating world. The production stars Mare Winningham and Hal Linden.
