About the Show
After communing with the spirit of her deceased Great-Great-Grandmother, Shannon “Sweetpea” Cameron returns to her tiny South Carolina hometown to try and convince her no-nonsense Grandmother to start a cannabis farm on the land where their ancestors were enslaved. An important new play, written and performed by Sheri D. Bradford, directed and performed by Beverly Page, at once humorous and poignant, insightful and timely and filled with special surprises. Sheri D. Bradford (Writer/Performer) is an award-winning Los Angeles-based writer, producer, and performer whose writing focuses on Family, The South, and the intersection of comedy and drama in the everyday absurdities of life. Beverly Page (Director/Performer) is the President & CEO of Orlando Community Arts, Inc with 25+ years as an educator in the public school system. Brazilian artist Joao (John) Pedro Mascarenhas (Set Designer) is a digital artist and painter specializing in scenery, backgrounds, themes, and world-building.
