New York City
In an exclusive Southern California engagement, the Hamburg Ballet performs John Neumeier’s The Lady of the Camellias, based on Alexandre Dumas’ beloved tale of tragic romance, and Death in Venice, drawn from Thomas Mann’s tale of an aged novelist who finds his life inexplicably consumed by the startling beauty of youth. The telling of these two classic tales through the power and passion of dance and the incomparable artistry of this company is sure to be a triumph.
One hour prior to each performance, Cyrus Parker-Jeanette, chair of the California State University, Long Beach Dance Department, hosts a preview talk.
