Georgia Stitt (composer / musical director / conductor / arranger / pianist) and her friends gather around the piano on the MainStage at El Portal for a sensational evening of music and song. The event marks the West Coast premiere of Stitt’s first CD, This Ordinary Thursday. Stitt’s special friends Susan Egan, Shoshana Bean, Jean Louise Kelly, Adam Hunter and Dan Callaway are joined by Chad Doreck and Kathleen Montelone, finalists from Grease: You’re the One That I Want!
Performers’ Bios
Stitt’s most recent achievement is the release of her debut album, This Ordinary Thursday, featuring Faith Prince, Jen Colella, Sara Ramirez, Susan Egan, Titus Burgess, Cheyenne Jackson, Kelly O’Hara, and Will Chase. Stitt also just completed the reality TV show Grease: You’re The One That I Want!, as vocal coach to the contestants.
Special guest stars Susan Egan and Shoshana Bean have both starred on Broadway. Egan has traversed all four corners of the entertainment industry, making powerful impressions in theatre, film, television and music. She starred on Broadway in Thoroughly Modern Millie, won critical acclaim as Broadway’s (longest-running) “Sally Bowles” in Cabaret, and received Tony Award and Drama Desk nominations for Best Actress as the original “Belle” in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
Shoshana Bean is an American stage actor and singer known for her roles in Broadway musicals, including the original production of Hairspray, and the off-Broadway Godspell. Bean subsequently performed in the national tour of Leader of the Pack. Her greatest fame came when she was cast as the replacement for Tony Award winner Idina Menzel in Broadway’s Wicked.
