Culture Clash’s Zorro In Hell

About the Show

El Zorro – is he alive and well or lost in the Hollywood Hills? The legendary masked hero rode out of the pages of pulp fiction, tumbled into Tinseltown’s image machine and transcended the barriers of class, race and ethnicity to become a hero for the oppressed in every land. Culture Clash, the country’s leading Latino theatre troupe, unmasks the legend of Zorro – from Douglas Fairbanks to Antonio Banderas – with their irreverent, incisive and zany brand of mayhem and humor. Culture Clash’s Zorro In Hell is written and performed by Culture Clash — Richard Montoya, Ric Salinas, Herbert Siguenza — and directed by Tony Taccone.

This world premiere is being co-commissioned and co-produced by La Jolla Playhouse with Zorro Productions, Inc. and Berkeley Repertory Theatre.

Performed in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre.
