About This Show

The Ken Lerner Players present Patrick Marber’s drama Closer.
The provocative four-character, double cast play, is about relationships and
the pursuit of truth. Callous obituary writer and aspiring author Dan meets waif Alice at the scene of a traffic accident. Upon taking her to the hospital, they meet straight-laced intern Larry. Photographer Anna meets Dan a year later and quickly becomes the object of his affection during a photo shoot for his forthcoming book. She also happens to be Larry’s fiancée. Various encounters, between the two sets of lovers, at a strip club, aquarium and art gallery provide an intimate look at the difficulties these intertwined lovers encounter, over a four year period, as they struggle with infatuations, infidelities, insecurities, indecent proposals and reconciliation.
