About This Show

Breaking the Code relates the tragedy of English mathematician Alan Turning who invented the modern computer and broke the German Enigma code, helping to win World War II, only to learn that his country cared less about his genius than about his sexual orientation. Humorous and compassionate, we see the human side of Turing, whose admitted homosexuality keeps his achievements unknown and his life under painful surveillance.
