About This Show

Set in Belfast in the 1970s and 1980s, Belfast Blues is one wee girl’s story of family, war, Jesus and Hollywood. Written and performed by Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle and Ovation Award winner Geraldine Hughes, this touching piece, both funny and tragic, is a rich tapestry of war-torn Belfast. Woven together through the voices of more than twenty colorful characters, ranging from Ms. Hughes’ parents and neighbors to her younger self, this transcendent tour-de-force has been touted by critics nationally and internationally.

Belfast Blues runs on a rotating schedule with The Good Thief.
Performances for Belfast Blues occur the weeks of August 1, August 15 and August 29.
On September 12 Belfast Blues will perform in repertory with The Good Thief. The Good Thief begins at 2:00 PM followed by Belfast Blues at 7:00 PM.

The opening night gala includes show tickets and a post-show party with the cast and dignitaries. Other special performances are as follows: post-show talkback with the cast (August 16 and August 30); an audio-described performance on Sunday, September 3 at 2:00 PM; and a signed performance for deaf and hard of hearing patrons on Sunday, August 6 at 7:00 PM.

Seniors and military personnel save $5.00 per ticket for all shows excluding Wednesday matinees.
