The Ford Theatre Foundation has partnered with FITLA International Latino Theatre Festival of Los Angeles to present the West Coast premiere of Antigona/Antigone by Peru’s leading theater company, Yuyachkani, marking the opening of FITLA 2004.
Miguel Rubio Zapata directs Josi Watanabe’s poetic adaptation of Sophocles’ classic play, seen through contemporary Peruvian eyes. Actress Teresa Ralli portrays all the characters in this tragedy of the arrogance of power.
