A Flea in Her Ear (Solvang)

About the Show

A Flea in Her Ear is the original classic farce from the master farceur of all time, Georges Feydeau, presented here in a new translation by Patricia M. Troxel. Set in Paris in the late 1800s, this comedy is about a wife who is convinced that her husband’s recent neglect of her is evidence that he is having an affair. Determined to catch him in his supposed infidelity, the wife persuades her friend to write him an impassioned love note asking for a rendezvous at a notorious hotel. The plot misfires when the letter finds its way into the hands of the friend’s fiery husband, who enraged with jealousy, runs off to the hotel to murder the two “lovers.”

Performances are Wednesday-Sunday at 8:30pm through August 10 and Wednesday-Sunday at 8:00pm after that.

This production also runs in Santa Maria from July 4-19.
