About This Show

Celebrated war heroes Macbeth and Banquo have just defeated the allied forces of Norway and Ireland. The pair are approached by three mysterious figures claiming that Macbeth shall be Thane of Cawdor and King of Scotland and that Banquo’s children shall be Kings. When the first of these seemingly impossible predictions turns out to be true, the seeds of temptation are planted in Macbeth. With fiddling ghosts, wild witches, and bloody battles, “Macbeth” is the story of a man, a woman, and their journey into madness. When supernatural temptations and blind ambition seize war hero Macbeth and his wife, their actions leave a tragic trail of destruction that raises questions about good, evil, and the nature of success.

Founded in June 2012, Youthquake Theater started out with a random idea (Let’s do Hamlet in the backyard!) and took off with a bang. We’re proud to say that our productions are organized, directed, and acted in entirely by children and teens.
