ACT Theatre has announced full casting for the world premiere of the timely romantic comedy, Pilgrims Musa and Sheri in the New World, by Yussef El Guindi. Anita Montgomery will direct the play, which runs June 17-July 17.

The story follows Musa, an Egyptian cab driver who’s been in America less than a year, as he falls for Sheri, a sassy American waitress with an unfortunate dating history, and how his life takes on unexpected and delightfully complicated turns.

Shanga Parker will play Musa, while Carol Roscoe co-stars as Sheri. The cast will also include Anthony Leroy Fuller (Abdallah), Sylvester Foday Kamara (Tayyib), and Kimberley Sustad (Gamila).

The design team will include Jennifer Zeyl (set), Melanie Taylor Burgess (costumes), L.B. Morse (lighting), and Brendan Patrick Hogan (sound).
