Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre Announces 2012 Season

The Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre has announced its 2012 season, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Performances will be at the Charity Randall Theatre and the Henry Heymann Theatre in Oakland.

The season will include In the Next Room or the vibrator play by Sarah Ruhl (April 19-May 5, 2012); The Pitmen Painters by Lee Hall (May 31-June 23); and The School for Lies by David Ives (December 5-22).

Events will also include A Chekhov Celebration: Tragedian in Spite of Himself: A Celebration of the Life and Theatre of Anton Chekhov, encompassing Three Sisters adapted by Brian Friel (July 19-August 26); Ivanov, a new English version by Tom Stoppard (August 2-25); After Chekhov, featuring The Yalta Game and Afterplay adapted by Brian Friel (August 10-26); and Funny Chekhov, short plays and vaudevilles (August 17-25).
