The show’s stars will be welcomed to Citi Field and Bryant Park.
Avenue Q, now running off-Broadway at New World Stages, has announced a series of public appearances as well as the launch of a new website.
Beginning with a scheduled appearance at Citi Field, Avenue Q's Grace Choi will kick-off the first of three public appearances by singing the national anthem at a home game for the Mets vs. the Cardinals on July 20 at noon. Then on August 9 at noon, the show's Danielle K. Thomas will return to Citi Field to sing the national anthem for the Mets vs. Rangers game. Shortly after, the cast of Avenue Q will return to Broadway in Bryant Park for a performance on July 27 at 12:30pm.
Avenue Q has also announced the launch of a new website intended to provide fans with an easier way to learn about the show's schedule and the cast and creative teams, and provide streamlined access to purchasing tickets.
Avenue Q is the Tony Award-winning musical comedy featuring a diverse cast of people and puppets, now in its 13th year onstage in New York and around the globe. The show features a Tony-winning score by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx and a Tony-winning book by Jeff Whitty.
The current cast of Avenue Q includes Ben Durocher, Dana Steingold, Grace Choi, Jason Jacoby, Nicholas Kohn, Danielle K. Thomas, Kerri Brackin, Jed Resnick, Katie Boren, Michael Liscio Jr., and Imari Hardon.
