Could Broadway’s next Peter Parker/Spider-Man be…YOU?
Men of any ethnicity in their late-teens to early-twenties possessing a great rock singing voice, a good sense of humor, and an “understated sex appeal,” are encouraged to audition. Those auditioning should be prepared to sing a range-showing rock song a capella — though sheet music should be on hand in case a piano accompanist is provided. They should not prepare any songs from Bono and The Edge’s score, however. A resume and photo or snapshot should also be provided.
Additionally, the production will use these casting calls to find a future Mary Jane, (females of any ethnicity in their late-teens to early twenties who are “beautiful girl next door types” with a pop/rock singing voice).
In New York, the casting call will take place at Stage 48 and Sky-Lounge (695 West 48th Street) on Monday, August 19 from 10am-5pm. Sign-in begins at 9:30am. In Los Angeles, the auditions will be held on August 12 at the Hollywood United Methodist Church (6817 Franklin Avenue at Highland Avenue). The timing is the same as the New York call.
