The new HBO documentary Sing Your Song, about Harry Belafonte, received its New York premiere at the Apollo Theatre on Thursday, Octobe3 6.
The film examines the life and career of the legendary entertainer and civil rights hero, and will make its HBO premiere on October 17. It is directed by Susanne Rostock, and produced by Michael Cohl, Gina Belafonte, Jim Brown, William Eigen and Julius R. Nasso.
Among the opening night guests were Gbenga Akinnagbe, Michael Boatman, Brendan Fraser, Joan Didion, Griffin Dunne, Wyclef Jean, Congressman Charles Rangel, and Isiah Whitlock, Jr.
