John Pizzarelli to Appear at Performing Arts Library on February 11

Jazz guitarist John Pizzarelli and his father, guitar legend Bucky Pizzarelli, will appear as part of The Duke Jazz Talk Series at 8pm on Wednesday, February 11 at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. The pair will be interviewed by Bob Santelli, the executive director of the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles.

The series will continue on April 15 with a conversation and brief performance by Dave Brubeck. Additional participants will be announced at a later date.

In addition, the NYPL is hosting a series of free jazz performances at the Library’s Bruno Walter Auditorium. Participating artists will be Jane Ira Bloom (February 20); Ben Allison and Medicine Wheel (May 1); and Drew Grass and 7 Black Butterflies (August 26). Each concert begins at 7:30pm, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 7pm.
