NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts is presenting Gob Squad's Western Society this February, in association with the Public Theater. The show joins NYU Skirball’s Visions Voices Global Performance Series. Performances will run from February 18-22.

Inspired by a real video of an unknown family’s mundane party, Western Society presents a portrait of civilization in the 21st century. Gob Squad invites the audience to join them as they bring the video to life, diving deep into a Western home and the human spirit.

Gob Squad is a group of Berlin- and Nottingham-based artists that melds theater, media, and real life. The company's Kitchen (You’ve Never Had It So Good), which enjoyed a run at the Public Theater in 2012, earned the Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience.

Now in its third year, NYU Skirball’s Visions Voices Global Performance Series showcases and supports diverse and eclectic talent from around the world.
