Laura Benanti, Richard Schiff, and More Join Bobby Cannavale and the Cast of The Big Knife to Celebrate Their Broadway Opening

Clifford Odets' The Big Knife celebrated its Broadway opening night at the American Airlines Theatre on Tuesday, April 16. Doug Hughes is directing the production that stars Broadway leading-man favorite Bobby Cannavale (Glengarry Glen Ross).
The Big Knife, which follows film star Charlie Castle as he tries to escape control of his corrupt Hollywood studio in order to save his marriage, is one of Odets' least performed works. He is much better known for his early plays, such as Waiting for Lefty and Awake and Sing!, as well as Golden Boy, which also received a recent Broadway revival.
This mounting features Richard Kind (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Chip Zien (Into the Woods), Marin Ireland (After Miss Julie), C.J. Wilson (Glengarry Glen Ross), Reg Rogers (The Dazzle), Rachel Brosnahan (Coming Up Roses), Joey Slotnick (Almost an Evening), Ana Reeder (Top Girls), Brenda Wehle (Pygmalion), and Billy Eugene Jones (The Mountaintop).
