Broadway's Jeffry Denman, Marc Kudisch, Michael Cerveris, and More Play the Ukulele

Is the ukulele the hipster of instruments? Broadway at Birdland's Uke Night! will feature ukulele performances by stars we'd never expect. logo

Jeffry Denman
Jeffry Denman (White Christmas), Tony Award Nominee Marc Kudisch (9 to 5), Tony Award winner Michael Cerveris (Evita), Tony Award Nominee Howard McGillin (Phantom of the Opera), Clarke Thorell (Annie), Nancy Anderson (Kiss Me Kate), Lauren Molina (Rock of Ages), Erin Denman (42nd Street), Jason Poole, Kimberly Kaye, Brittney Bertier, and Rachel Yucht are set to perform at Birdland's Uke Night! on April 15.

As the title suggests, the event will be completely dedicated to the music created on that most adorable of instruments. The evening's performances will follow the history of the uke from its Hawaiian origins to its popularity in the U.S. in the 1920s, to its current resurgence in pop culture.

Jeffry Denman, who has been seen uking it up with Marc Kudisch in TheaterMania's Holiday Guys video, will host the slightly twee, totally awesome evening.
