Ars Nova Announces Two Premieres For Its 2015 Season

Bess Wohl's Small Mouth Sounds will open the season.

Playwright Bess Wohl's Small Mouth Sounds joins Ars Nova's 2015 season.

Ars Nova has announced the lineup of productions set for its 2015 season, featuring two premiere productions.

The world premiere of Bess Wohl's Small Mouth Sounds, directed by Rachel Chavkin, will open the season. The play follows six runaways from city life who embark on a silent retreat. As these strangers confront internal demons both profound and absurd, their vows of silence collide with the achingly human need to connect. Performances will run from March 10-April 11.

The New York premiere of Futurity, a new musical featuring music by César Alvarez with The Lisps and a book and lyrics by Alvarez, also joins the season in the fall of 2015. Directed by Sarah Benson, the show will be coproduced with Soho Rep. at the Connelly Theater.

On April 9, cabaret performer Bridget Everett will offer a one-night-only concert, Bridget Everett Gets F**ked by Ars Nova, at Stage 48. The show will feature send-up performances by Ars Nova's emerging artists.

ANT Fest, Ars Nova's festival of All New Talent, will then kick off the summer, running from June 1-27. Programmed through an open-submission process, applications are being accepted through February 1 (application information at
