Errico, Foley, McKechnie, Moses, et al. to Perform at Cy Feuer Memorial

Melissa Errico, Ellen Foley, Donna McKechnie, and Burke Moses will be among the performers at a public memorial service in honor of the late Cy Feuer, to be held at 1pm on Thursday, September 21at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Feuer, who produced such musicals as Where’s Charley, Guys and Dolls, and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, died on May 17 at the age of 95.

Speakers at the service will include playwright Neil Simon, journalist Jimmy Breslin, Shubert Organization chairman Gerald Schoenfeld, and Jujamcyn Theatres president Rocco Landesman, as well as Jed Bernstein, former president of the League of American Theatres and Producers, press agent Merle Debuskey, costume designer Alvin Colt, businessman Herb Siegel, and theater historian Max Wilk. Other performers at the service will include Cy Feuer’s son, Jed, and his jazz quintet Bipolar, cabaret star Steve Ross, and trumpeter Joe Wilder. Michael Dansiker will be music director for the event.

In addition to his many producing credits, Feuer directed such shows as The Boy Friend, Silk Stockings, Little Me, and Walking Happy. He was also president and later chairman of the League of American Theatres and Producers from 1989-2003. He was nominated for nine Tony Awards in his career, and was awarded a special one for Lifetime Achievement in 2003.

Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors to the theater will open at 12:30pm.
