Gaius Charles and Saidah Arrika Ekulona, et al. Join Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Ortiz in Public’s Othello

Julian Acosta, Gaius Charles, Jessica Chastain, Liza Colon-Zayas, Saidah Arrika Ekulona, and LeRoy McLain will join Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Ortiz in Peter Sellars’ staging of Othello. This co-production of the Public Theater and LAByrinth Theater Company will perform at Skirball Center for the Performing Arts @ NYU, September 12-October 4.
In the production, Ortiz and Hoffman, who are among the co-founders of LAByrinth, will play Othello and Iago, respectively.
The creative team includes scenic designer Gregor Holzinger; costume designer Mimi O’Donnell; and lighting designer James F. Ingalls. Mark Grey will provide original music and sound design.
