Center Theatre Group's production of Arthur Miller's The Price starts performances tonight at Los Angeles' Mark Taper Forum. After the death of their father, two brothers meet in his apartment to organize his belongings. As they sift through the items, the motives behind their longtime estrangement are unearthed.

Tony Award winner Garry Hynes directs the play, which features Kate Burton as Esther Franz, John Bedford Lloyd as Walter Franz, Alan Mandell as Gregory Solomon, and Sam Robards as Victor Franz.

"We begin the year by celebrating American icon Arthur Miller in the year of his centennial with the presentation of The Price," said CTG Artistic Director Michael Ritchi. "I am proud to welcome director Garry Hynes to CTG and to welcome back actors Kate Burton and Alan Mandell for this much anticipated production."

The creative team of The Price includes Matt Saunders (set design), Terese Wadden (costume design), James F. Ingalls (lighting design), Cricket S. Myers (sound design), and Susie Walsh (stage management).

Performances will run through March 22.
